Why I’m starting this blog
I’ve wanted a space that feels a little quieter than social media—somewhere I can share what I’m learning, what I’m creating, and what I’m becoming. This blog is that space.
I’m not starting it because I have everything figured out. I’m starting it because I’m in the middle of the journey, and I’ve learned that the middle is where the most honest stories live.
A little about me
My name is Sonny Parker. I’m a junior at Liberty University, studying Digital Design with a concentration in Graphic Design, and a minor in Homeland Security. That combination might sound unexpected, but it fits me: I’m both creative and detail-oriented, and I care about how things look and how they work.
I’ve always been drawn to design in all its forms—spaces, products, visuals, and the small decisions that turn an idea into something real. Over time, I’ve built experience in interior design, 3D modeling, 3D rendering, graphic design, and product design. I love the moment when a concept finally clicks—when it feels clear, intentional, and human.
What you can expect here
This won’t be a “perfect highlight reel” kind of blog. I want it to be real, thoughtful, and useful.
Here are a few things I plan to share:
Personal reflections on growth, creativity, and staying consistent
Behind-the-scenes of projects (including what I’d do differently next time)
Design lessons I’m learning in school and in real life
Notes on tools, workflows, and ideas that help me create better work
The bigger reason
If I’m being honest, I’m writing because I want to live with more intention.
I want to document the progress, not just the outcomes. I want to build a body of work I’m proud of. And I want to connect with people who care about creating things that matter.
If you’re reading this—thank you. I’m grateful you’re here at the beginning.
Let’s stay connected
If something I share resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you. You can follow along, leave a comment, or just check back in when you have time.
This is chapter one. And I’m ready to start.
